2 oz PS Extend-Air
Extend-Air
Extend-Air is the base of the Private Stock paint system. It also contains additional acrylic resins. The viscosity is about equal to that of Private Stock which makes it ideal for reduction without losing your viscosity and adhesion properties. Also recommended if you want your colors to be more transparent.
Extend-Air can also be used within the EFX 500 system to make adjustments in TAC. TAC determines adhesion. Sticky, less sticky. This aspect is important for some work even if a top clear solvent will be used on top. For example, when added with EFX 500, Extend Air reduces smudging and finger prints.
There is no fixed formula but we recommend not to over use it because at a certain point it may also pick up dust. Needs to be heat set to activate it's properties.
An important note when using Extend Air in combination with textiles: For Dark and Black garments, we suggest several light coats (3-4 coats) using a hair dryer between coats to completely dry and then heat press prior to starting art work using opaques. This helps lock the thread count down and flatten fuzzies out which also will provide an exceptional smooth foundation for extremely fine detailing using Private Stock opaque and transparents over our 201 Titanium White.
This information (and more) can also be found in our Etac System Guide.

2 oz PS Pol-Etac
Pol E'tac
Recommended as an additive when you don’t want your paint to be re-wettable anymore. It acts like a temporary (waterbased) clear coat and will protect your artwork from damage: Adding it to your paint makes it stronger but it will also make it less erasable.
Pol’E Tac can also be sprayed over your artwork after using erasers or scraping techniques to harden the paint and prevent re-wetting.
You can add Pol E’Tac to your paint to gradually increase strength and resistance to water. Heating and then allowing to cool hardens this product. Re-heating can re-soften the protect, so be careful not to touch the surface until it is cooled down. This will also reduce the risk of transferring skin oils to your painted surface.
Note: Pol E’Tac may also be used for various other applications, like balancing flakes in a water based additive to increase binding capacity. It can also be used in combination with other additives.

2 oz EFX Reduce-Air
Reduce-Air
This additive is to EFX 500 what Extend-Air is to Private Stock. It’s an exceptional clear or translucent product that carries the EFX 500 line to almost infinite transparency without losing viscosity. Consider it to be a binder without pigments.
Similar to other water based paints, you can (and sometimes also should) use water to further reduce viscosity. This can be useful if you are working on extremely fine detail. We recommend using bottle water for this in most cases, because distilled water can create a negative effect on how your paint flows. Do not use tap water because it contains contaminants that can affect performance or color purity.
Extend-Air from the Private Stock range can be used in combination with Reduce Air. This changes the TAC, or feel of the product. Several artists find this suitable for ‘shifting gears’ on the fly for variations in art techniques. Reduce-Air used in combination with EFX 500 hardens the color when heated with a hair dryer. A heat gun is more suitable.
When using erasers in combination with EFX 500 we recommend an inter-coat clear like Pol E’tac to protect the underlying color from damage due to water, or rough handling or oils from the skin. Reduce-Air is used for similar purposes. Always test before you embark on working with all products.

2 oz EFX H2-Uro
H2Uro
This is a water based isocyanate free urethane modified acrylic. It can be used in various ways together with EFX and Private Stock.
H2Uro has exceptional bonding characteristics usually not found in water based acrylics. The film formation is a non-yellowing high bond coat for surfaces that would normally require additional adhesion promotors like for example plastics.
When mixed 10 to 30% in EFX or Private Stock and applied to a clean prepped surface this product works tremendously well and handles solvents without bleeding. This makes H2Uro the ideal product for use with custom painting or any other application that requires a strong and durable finish (top coat for paintings etc.). Heat set at 350 degree's F (160 degrees C) for 20 seconds or fully dry prior to clearing with a quality uv exterior clear coat.

2 oz EFX Condition-Air
Condition-Air
Consider this to be a flow enhancer and retarder. It also contains lubricates, humectants and emollients as well as surface active agents to reduce drag. Condition-Air will make your paint (Private stock and EFX500) behave smoother under varying conditions.
Adding this will avoid or reduce fish eye, orange peel and tip dry while increasing solvent acceptance where crinkling or crazing (paint cracking) from some solvent may be seen that use numerous reducers and chemicals for their performance.
Condition-Air is also recommended when working in extreme warm or cold weather conditions. Many of you have probably experienced serious problems when using water based paints during hot summer days. With Condition Air, this is now a thing of the past.
A word of caution: Do not add Condition-Air to white that will be used over black textile as it will cause the color to be absorbed into the garment. This would result in having to dry the color and build back the layers for vibrancy. We suggest 3-5 drops per ounce and adjust to your needs. The more you add, the longer the drying time.

2 oz EFX Jel-E Thickener
Jel'E Thickener
This product is initially designed for water based pin-striping and liner technique, this agent will thicken either Private Stock or EFX.
It doesn’t stop here though. There are many other uses for having a thickener that is controllable in the field of airbrushing or painting in general. You can always dilute down but thickening back up has often been problematic.
This as well is now a thing of the past.
When mixed with EFX500 transparents, Jel'E Thickener has also been used successfully for doing crisp, fine line work with fine art brushes as well as water color-like type washes on pH balanced board and paper. Try it out to discover it’s full potential.
